Accessibility: No barriers

Accessible Internet sites allow people with disabilities to access web offers. In technical terms, website accessibility is achieved by implementing W3C-valid XHTML source code and introducing measures including semantic tags for image descriptions and abbreviations. Accessible web sites have been obligatory for the public web presences of German government administration authorities since December 2005. The criteria for accessibility are regulated in the ‘Accessible information technology regulation’ (Barrierefreie Informationstechnik-Verordnung, BITV).
Due to their clear structures, accessible Internet sites are well rated by search engines as their sub-script algorithms do possess limited perception. Kontrollfeld is able to compose accessible Internet sites conforming to the BITV, if required.
